Doodlebop
Connor's best friend, Rita, is turning 3 on the 21st. To celebrate her birthday, her parents threw a Doodlebops party for her. Upon their arrival, each kid was given a Doodlebops t-shirt to wear for the party. Connor didn't want to change his shirt at first, but when he saw all the other kids were wearing theirs, he changed his mind. Just like always, Connor and Rita were two peas in a pod. They had to keep track of each other's whereabouts at all times. If Connor was outside and realized Rita had gone inside, in he went. If Rita was inside and realized Connor had gone outside, out she went. It was pretty darn cute.

Just about anyone can attest to the fact that 3 year olds don't have much of an attention span. For this reason, I have deemed Rita's mom to be a genius. Not only did she plan a few quick games for the kids to play, but she had prizes for the kids to open while Rita was opening her gifts.
Connor gave Rita a Dora Memory game and a pink Rockies outfit that he picked out just for her. (We were walking through the store when he saw the Rockies outfit and was adamant that he give it to Rita. "Go Rockies!" Amazingly, it really was all his idea. It's a good thing he has such good taste.) Rita was also given a bunch of Doodlebops musical instruments from her parents and other family members. Connor was persistent in his efforts to play the drums and the guitar, even when Rita was already playing them. But they quickly worked it out where they would take turns with the different instruments.

Taking Connor's sweet tooth into consideration, the birthday cake was a highlight of the party. It was actually a "cupcake" cake in the shape of a Doodlebops guitar. Connor didn't pay much attention to that. His main concern was to get the paper off so he could stuff it in his mouth. .
