Santa!

Nanny came to our rescue on the 10th. We didn't have daycare for that week, so she came into town to take care of our boy. Connor was still napping when she arrived, but once he woke up, she and I loaded him up in the car for a surprise. We took him to Santa's house. We signed his name when we arrived. While we waited for our turn, Connor colored at a little table they had set up. Connor was clueless about who was in the next room until some commotion clued him in. When he saw the man in the red suit, he exclaimed, "Santa!" and came out of his chair with excitement. When it was his turn, Mrs. Claus came out and called his name, held his hand and led him over to a Christmas tree, where she asked him to pick an ornament to take in to Santa. When he walked in and saw Santa up close and personal, he became shy. But Mrs. Claus helped alleviate that pretty quick. Plus, Santa had a pretty cool watch that played Christmas carols, which fascinated Connor.
