The Great Pumpkin

Even though he had no idea what we were talking about, Connor was thrilled to go “bye bye” to visit a pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky, yet there was a bit of a chill in the air. So armed with both his beanie and his sunglasses, Connor was set to spend some time in the fresh outdoors. In fact, he thought he looked pretty “coo.” I’m not sure if he meant cute or cool, but it doesn’t matter because he was definitely both. Once at the pumpkin patch, Connor decided it was time again to assert his independence. This task required him to run as fast as he could in the opposite direction of Daddy and I every chance he got. It also required him to be a stinker any time I whipped out the camera. Therefore, I don’t have any great pictures of the outing, but at least we got something. Now, as for the pumpkins themselves, for some reason Connor had it in his head that they were balls. He kept calling them balls, and he kept trying to throw them. This doesn't bode well for his teenage years. With all the many pumpkins available, he couldn't seem to find a single one to his liking. But when we thought all hope was lost, he found a bucket of gourds.

Hmmm - decisions, decisions. ...............This one must have been just right,
because he promptly named it "MINE!"
