Zoo Part Deux

Last week's trip to the zoo wasn't nearly long enough. Most importantly, the boys didn't get to see all the "aminals" (as Connor calls them). We decided to give it another shot, planning the day ahead of time. Cousins Micah and Mischa spent the night at Aunt Tin's so they could go with us. Everyone was supposed to meet over at Tin's at 9:00 for breakfast. However, some people (no names, Nate) overslept. By the time everyone arrived, ate breakfast, and headed to the zoo, it was already 11:00. And once again, the boys did not have naps. Nevertheless, the boys were in great moods. We caught quite a bit of it on tape, but had to make a condensed version for blogging purposes. Aunt Tin treated everyone to a train ride AND a carousel ride. One of these days, Connor will actually crack a smile while he's on the carousel. I'm determined to make it happen! While we were on the carousel, a squirrel found it's way into the wagon and made off with the boys' box of animal crackers. No fair! Mischa bravely retrieved the box from the daring squirrel to throw it away. We saw many more exhibits this week than last week, and it wasn't until after lunch while watching the seal show that Kenner decided to have a meltdown. We decided that was our cue that it was time to go, and again, both boys were conked out within minutes of leaving the parking lot. So much excitement really wears them out.
