A Day at the Zoo

Connor is an old timer when it comes to visiting the zoo. Aunt Tin has a season pass so he gets to go with her all the time. However, little cousin Kenner had NEVER been to the zoo. We decided Connor needed to show him what it was all about. Connor was right around Kenner's age when he started visiting the zoo on a regular basis, and has loved going ever since. He gets more and more involved each time he goes. It seemed like the perfect day for a visit. A bit cloudy and not too hot. Unfortunately, it took us a while to get everything together, so by the time we actually got there, it was time for naps. Therefore, neither boy was too excited when we first arrived. But once they saw the animals, all bets were off. First exhibit . . . the lions.

Kenner was fairly impressed. He kept looking at the lions while saying, "ooooh." We headed to the zebras next. Along the way, I decided to take some video footage. Aunt Tin was walking with Connor. Once we stopped by the zebras, I assumed she was still watching him. She thought I was. Both of us were wrong. It's a good thing Connor was totally entranced with getting a look at the zebras. Not a peep from him.
Where are they?........................................................Oh, there they are!

From there we visited the giraffes, polar bears and sea lions. Connor had no intention of sitting in his stroller again. He decided he would rather help push it than ride in it. After taking a few pictures with the camels and elephants, we headed over to the carousel. Connor takes his carousel riding very seriously. He absolutely loves it, but you would never know it because he keeps a poker face the entire ride. We had a snack before calling it a day. The boys began making it very apparent that not only had they missed their morning naps, but we were cutting into their afternoon naps as well. We would have to see the rest of the zoo another time. In less than 2 minutes in the car, both boys were out for the count.
