A Great Visit
Regrettably, although it's less than a 2 hour car drive, we don't get to see Granddad as much as we'd like. So we were just thrilled to learn that Uncle Mark and Aunt Judy were going to make a point to come visit us while they were in town, and were bringing Granddad for the ride as well. They arrived this morning, just as Connor was waking from his morning nap. They got to see firsthand the waking ritual Connor has of throwing everything out of his crib and on the floor. Except his stuffed giraffe. He usually keeps that handy so he can play it's nursery rhymes. Anyway, we sat and visited for a bit. Connor even managed to get Granddad to read him a book. When our tummies started rumbling, we headed to Pappadeaux for the BEST brunch ever. After a few trips through the buffet, we rolled ourselves out to the cars and headed back to the house. Connor fell asleep on the way home, so was transported directly into his crib when we got home. We visited for a while more. Just as they were packing up to head out, I thought I heard Connor. I went upstairs to check on him, and found him to still be snoozing away. Or so I thought. Uncle Mark snuck upstairs just a couple of minutes later to
snag a snapshot of him sleeping, but found him wide eyed in his crib. So he joined us in our goodbyes. Having just woken up, however, he was a bit fussy. Didn't want anyone holding him but me. Daddy wouldn't even do. We still managed to get a picture of him with his great family though. We really are glad we were able to see the three of them. Thanks for thinking of us!
