Twas the Night Before Christmas
Since we were going to be heading out of town on Christmas Day, Mommy's family got together on Christmas Eve for some family traditions. After a big ham lunch, we play-acted the nativity, with Connor starring in the key role. (No pictures available at this time, but if we can ever figure out the video links . . .) We then opened presents and were buzzing around on a sugar high from all the cookies, pies, chocolate covered pretzels (Daddy's favorite), and sweets galore. Later that evening, we packed up a few plates with treats and went caroling to some friends of Aunt Tin. Afterwards, we ventured north hoping to carol Daddy since he was working (on Christmas Eve of all nights . . . bah humbug!), but was only able to leave the plate of goodies instead. The rest of the family went on to do some more caroling in Grandma and Grandpa's old neighborhood, while Connor and Mommy went home to pack. It was a late night, but luckily we were able to get a bit of shut eye with dreams of sugarplums dancing in our heads.
