Connor, a boy's name of Irish origin meaning strong willed or wise. Hmmm. Strong willed? As in stubborn? You can say that again!

Also from the Gaelic name Conchobhar which means "dog lover" or "wolf lover." No wonder he loves Gunner!

And last, but not least, also Celtic/Gaelic for "much wanted." Without a doubt.

After who knows how many hours of labor (not sure when it really started - but after many hours of serious back pain, finally realized what was going on around 10:00 p.m. on March 23rd), Connor made his appearance by emergency c-section on March 24, 2005 at 11:40 a.m. He weighed in at 8 lbs 14 oz, was 20" long, and according to the nurses, had a huge noggin. ("Look at the size of that thing. Looks like an orange on a toothpick!") He was on his best behavior in the hospital, but when we brought him home on Easter Sunday, he let us have it! That was when the sleep deprivation started. It's improved a bit since then. But every now and then, he likes to do something to keep us on our toes.
